2004 South Undergrad Showcase
Zachary Erwin is a 2006, 5'10" left handed hitting outfielder from China Spring, Texas. His running and throwing skills are solid, and Erwin showed good defensive instincts in the outfield. He showed good first step quickness on the bases and ran a 4.47 to first base during the showcase games. At the plate, Erwin hits out of a square stance with very busy hands and pulls off the ball on contact. At 150 lbs., Erwin is still a little weak to swing the wood bat with authority and will have to work on hitting through the ball better.
