Cody Carver is a 2013 LHP with a 6-3 210 lb. frame from Huffman, TX who attends Hargrave HS. Large frame with some present strength. On line delivery to the plate, good balanced mechanics, loose arm, hides ball well, low 3/4's release point, low effort, repeats well. Consistent mid-70's fastball, topped at 76 mph, some arm side run, gets same type of movement on change up, big sweeping 2/8 curveball, throws strikes with all pitches and makes hitters swing the bat, likely a very effective high school pitcher. Will need to find more velocity for next level but knows how to pitch.
