2004 Underclass National Showcase
Tyler Kimball -- Kimball is a tall, slender sophomore infielder from Nebraska. He has good muscle development in his hips and legs and he has a great frame to add muscle in his upper half. He hits from a straight up stance with a narrow base that at times gives him balance problems on his swing. Kimball has bat speed and good leverage and should be quite a hitter as he develops his upper body strength. He shows nice hands and good instincts in the field. Kimball took a 3 inning turn on the mound and threw steady strikes with a 73-74 mph fastball. Tyler is a good athlete and an excellent student. Only a sophomere keep an eye on him.
