Harrison McElroy is a 2014 MIF/RHP with a 6-0 165 lb. frame from Los Angeles, CA who attends Palisades Charter HS. Medium athletic build, has some wiry strength. Right handed hitter, spread stance, good balance, calm approach, quick hands with present bat speed, ball comes off the barrel hard, line drive swing plane with good loose extension, can create back spin, swing mechanics not consistent but flashes plus hitting ability. 7.03 runner, long strider, athletic defensive actions and shows range, quick release, future/best position to be determined, will be a versatile multi-position player. Also pitched, long 3/4's extended arm action, fastball to 82 mph, cuts both fastball and change up, gets some spin on sweeping curveball. Good athlete who plays with confidence and projects.

His feet work well defensively with solid actions. He has nice hands with solid transfers. At the plate, he swings from a wide stance and uses a no stride rotational approach. He swings on a line drive plane and uses the whole field. McElroy generates bat speed and has an aggressive approach. He pitches from a 3/4 arm slot with a long extended arm action. McElroy has arm speed with a balanced delivery. He slings some and gets good arm side run on his fastball. McElroy gets hard sink on his change up and also throws a curveball with developing shape and spin. Solid two-way guy who projects best on the mound.
