Logan Augustine is a 2014 LHP/OF with a 5-11 200 lb. frame from Urbandale, IA who attends Urbandale HS. Strong build, especially in the lower half, deceptively athletic. Deep wrapped arm action, 3/4's arm slot, arm is quick and loose out front, has deception in delivery. Fastball topped out at 83 mph, cuts fastball glove side at times, good arm side run other times, spots well down in the zone. Slider best pitch, has good command and feel with good depth and some bite, slows arm significantly on change up. Has feel for pitching and throws strikes. Left handed hitter, early load and stride, has good hand quickness and some bat speed, has knack for squaring up the ball, solid line drive contact to all fields, good swing plane. Playable outfield tools, has some arm strength, 7.27 runner, should also be able to play first base. Good baseball player who should have the opportunity to play at the college level. Outstanding student.

Logan Augustine is a 2014 LHP/OF with a 5-11 200 lb. frame from Urbandale, IA who attends Urbandale HS. Medium frame, thick mature build with some strength in lower half. Simple turn and throw mechanics with pause at the top, doesn't get hips opened well, loses lower half power, full smooth arm circle with extended 3/4's release. Fastball topped at 82 mph, mostly straight, projects to add plenty of velocity. Slider is a good pitch, good depth and bite, good release point out front, tends to cast curveball with softer spin, needs to get out front with that as well. Athletic outfield actions, smooth to the ball, easy arm action, accurate throws. Left handed hitter, negative stride, opens early, upper cut swing plane from low hand set, has some strength when ball squared up. Should keep improving. Excellent student.
