Thomas Kalousek is a 6-5, 195 lb senior right handed pitcher from Iowa with a big, projectable pitcher's body. He has a long arm action with an exaggerated take away and full body turn that leaves his palm up in back. His high 3/4's release point gives his pitches good plane to the plate, but he often doesn't get his hips turned back square to the plate and throws against himself. Kalouseks' fastball was 74-77 mph. He gets on the side of a 66-68 mph curveball, giving it a sweeping break. He also threw a 62 mph change up. Kalousek is a very good student off the field.
