Blake Walden is a 2014 RHP with a 6-1 175 lb. frame from Lubbock, TX who attends Monterey HS. Slender athletic build, good projection, some present strength. Quick paced delivery, compact arm action, has arm speed and good looseness out front, ball comes out of hand cleanly, raw stuff projects to got better. Steady low 80's fastball topped out at 82 mph, curveball shows good sharpness, throws CB for strikes consistently, good sink on change up with proper arm speed, has present pitchability. Good hitting tools on a primary pitcher, shows strength in swing, good consistent barrel, line drive contact, stays inside well from open stance, present bat speed, has a chance to develop as a hitter as well.
