John Daniel Whitlock is a 2013 SS/2B with a 5-6 150 lb. frame from Pawley Island, SK who attends Waccamaw SS. Compact thin athletic frame, some present wiry strength. Compact throwing motion, quick release, solid footwork defensively. Short line drive swing path, simple swing mechanics. Hits from an open stance, middle field contact approach. Contact skills will improve as he learns to maintain his balance through his swing better. Has a chance to develop into quality table setter with solid MIF defensive skills.
