Casey is a dominating presence at 6 foot 6 and 220 pounds. He has a strong build with lots of projection still ahead. The interesting thing about him is that he already throws 3 Big League pitches with potential to get even better. His 88-92 mph fastball that we have seen up to 94 is obviously the main ingredient. Mix in a hard 76 mph curveball and a change-up that showed sink at 76-78 mph and you have the makings of possibly the top right-handed pitching prospect in the Nation. Tate is also a football prospect (QB), but it's hard to imagine him being better at that than he is on the mound. Hope he doesn't get injured. Tate is a good student.

Casey is both one of the best and most projectable pitchers in high school baseball. He's also a good QB prospect in football, but it's hard to think he could be a better QB than RHP. At 6'6/220 he's a man on the hill. His arm works nicely without much tension. His heater is routinely in the low 90s with good sinking action at times. He showed what looked like a nice cutter at 89 mph. His breaking ball shows excellent promise in the 76 mph range. He also throws a real good change up that sinks late and hard. 6'6" pitchers with 3 solid pitches including an above ave. MLB heater and good command are going to create lots of early draft interest. That's Tate Casey! He's a good student as well.

Top 04 pitching prospect. Big plus body already. 6'6 with beautiful easy arm action that produced 91 mph fastballs. He even gets that velocity out of the stretch. Very promising curveball in the mid 70s and a high 70s slider. His change up could use a little work, but all is in place for this kid to become a high profile draft prospect.
