Ryan Kaplan is a 2013 SS with a 6-0 160 lb. frame from Fishkill, NY who attends John Jay East Fishkill. Very lean athlete with lots of room to fill out and add strength. Good athlete who ran a 7.07 sixty yard dash and showed easy body movements. Loose actions on the infield, works around ball, feet move well. Long arm action with solid arm strength. Made all plays at S in games, showed feel. Left handed bat. Stays on backside, looseness in hands, stays inside ball and balanced. Very good approach at plate. swing plane works, contact at present with pop to come as strength develops. Good student.
