Mitch Keller is a 2014 RHP with a 6-3 200 lb. frame from Cedar Rapids, IA who attends Xavier HS. Very good pitcher's build, continues to fill out and get stronger. Simple leg raise delivery, good pace and balance, low effort release, tends to rotate open late. When he missed, it was up and to arm side with the FB. Easy full arm swing with fast loose arm action, high 3/4's arm slot with good downhill. FB topped out at 90 with low effort delivery, maintained velocity well, pitched aggressively with fastball and pounded the strike zone. CB was 71 and flashed good spin and depth .Continues to improve and is developing well. Good student. Verbal commitment to North Carolina.

Mitch Keller is a 2014 RHP with a 6-3 195 lb. frame from Cedar Rapids, IA who attends Xavier HS. Very good pitcher's build, starting to fill out and get stronger, still projects well. Simple leg raise delivery, good pace and balance, low effort release, working on consistency with front side on landing, tends to rotate open late, fast loose arm action, high 3/4's arm slot. Upper 80's fastball, topped out at 89 mph, mostly straight with occasional running action, maintained velocity well, pitched aggressively with fastball. Change up best secondary offering, maintains arm speed well and has some feel. Flashed some curveball spin and depth, still on side at times, has improved ability to spin the ball. Low 90's is in his near future, has improved and is developing well. Good student.

Mitch Keller is a 2014 RHP/ with a 6-2 180 lb. frame from Cedar Rapids, IA who attends Xavier. Keller has a large frame with a projectable lean build. He pitches from a 3/4 arm slot with a long loose arm action. He has very good arm speed and the ball comes out easy. Keller has an effortless delivery and gets extension out front. He gets downhill action on his fastball and run on his two seam fastball. He throws an 11/5 curveball and has some feel for it. Keller also throws a change up with sink at 79 MPH. He showed some pitchability and projects for more velocity. Very good student.

Mitch Keller is a 2014 RHP with a 6-2 180 lb. frame from Cedar Rapids, IA who attends Xavier HS. Lean and loose young build. Higher release point than previously seen, now high 3/4's, not consistent, pulls head off on release. Low 80's fastball, touched 85 mph, good boring action when down in the zone, consistent life. Soft curveball spin, curveball has gone from 71 mph to 66 mph with new slot, some feel for change up. Arm works very well with plus projection from lower slot, less projection/smoothness up top. Good student.

Low effort smooth delivery, high 3/4's slot, throws downhill, arm works very well, loose and easy out front. Fastball velocity up since February, topped out at 86 mph, nice run/tail when down in zone. Big breaking 11/7 curveball with good spin, just developing change up, tends to slow arm on off speed at times. May throw so easily that he lacks deception, especially to left hand hitters. High ceiling potential. Good student.

Mitch Keller is a 2014 RHP with a 6-1 173 lb. frame from Cedar Rapids, IA who attends Xavier HS. Slender young look, loose actions. Low effort delivery and release, easy smooth arm circle, 3/4's arm slot, some drop and drive with medium back leg collapse, could pitch taller. Consistent low 80's fastball, topped at 83 mph, big arm side running life at times. Nice change up with consistent arm speed and release, throws change with confidence. Curveball flashes spin and good 11/5 depth, will drop release at times and cast. Brother Jon (now at Nebraska) threw 83-85 at same age, now throwing 93-95, Mitch throws more easily.
