Kyle McMahon is a 2012 LHP/OF with a 5-10 160 lb. frame from Mansfield, CT who attends Edwin O Smith. Medium build player with room to fill out. Throws from 3/4 slot on the mound. Stiff arm action in back, slow tempo delivery, not much extension out front. Repeats mechanics and was able to throw strikes. Fastball sat around 70, topping at 71. Curveball had 1/7 break and was thrown for strikes to both sides of the plate. Changeup at 64 showed similar arm action as fastball and is a usable #3 pitch. Projects to add more velocity as body matures. Slightly open approach at the plate with a middle of the field approach and solid contact to the opposite field. Very good student.
