Zachary Fricke is a 2013 C/OF/3B with a 5-11 190 lb. frame from Waterloo, IA who attends West HS. Medium athletic frame. Has added strength and will continue to do so. Good athlete. Behind the plate he has a low set up, good arm strength, on line throws. Pop was 2.02. Exchange has gotten better but still has room for improvement. Showed serious gains in receiving ability. Continues to get better. Also played IF and OF. On the IF he has solid actions, soft hands, good arm strength. OF actions were also solid. Smooth clean pick up and release, online throws with carry. Very versatile player. Left handed hitter with a high hand set and pull back load. Good bat speed and strength in swing. Has good balance, extension and pop but can get long at times. Very good student. Signed with Northern Iowa CC.

Solid athlete, infield skills project best at 3B. Online actions with solid footwork, ball carries, projects to improve at position. Smooth fielder in the outfield, hands and arm work. Long arm action in the back, good velo with more to come, accurate. Left handed hitter, slightly open stance, hands get loaded, good plane for both pull and going the other way. Zachary Fricke is a 2013 C/3B/RHP with a 5-10 185 lb. frame from Waterloo, IA who attends West HS. Strong compact build, good C frame. Strong arm, short arm action, slow release time prevents him from posting as good of pop times as he is physically capable of, will improve with quicker release. Accurate throws, deliberate catch & throw mechanics, also showed well defensively at 3B in game action. Quick hands at the plate, level swing plane, relaxed approach, not a lot of effort to swing, some leverage, good extension, sound swing mechanics. Also up to 80 mph on the mound. Good student.
