Dmitri O'Donnell is a 2014 RHP/1B, 3B with a 6-2 210 lb. frame from Meriden, CT who attends Platt. Large build with present strength. Smooth, balanced delivery on the mound. Throws from 3/4 slot with loose arm. Stays online and throws on a downhill plane with good finish and extension out front. Does a good job repeating mechanics, and attacks hitters with fastball. Works both sides of plate and keeps hitters off-balance with 11/5 curveball. On the infield, stays back and fields ball deep, projects best to corner infield spot. Right handed hitter, leg kick trigger, line drive swing with bat speed. Good balance with extension on swing. Middle of the field approach. Very good student.
