Garret Grove is a 2014 RHP/3B, SS with a 6-2 170 lb. frame from Runnells, IA who attends Indianola. Grove has a medium sized frame with a lean build. He pitches from a 3/4 arm slot with a shorter arm action. Grove has a quick paced delivery and finishes online. He gets cut action on his fastball and keeps the ball down well. Grove can get more use from his lower half to maximize his velocity. He throws an 11/5 curve ball with some depth and has feel for it. Defensively, Grove has developing actions and developing footwork. At the plate, he uses a no load approach and throws his hands to the ball. He has a pullside approach and showed some bat quickness.
