David Gerics is a 2013 RHP/SS with a 5-10 165 lb. frame from Newtown, CT who attends Fairfield Prep. Medium build athlete with some length and room to fill out. Medium kick, stays balanced and over bag leg. Throws from tight 3/4 slot and shows quickness in arm. Aggressive in delivery, works mostly to arm side and shows extension. Curveball is solid #2 pitch with shape and bite, Fastball shows sink and life down in zone. Goes after hitters. Smooth fielder on the infield, can go to both sides. Easy release, smooth arm action. Right handed hitter, short, compact stroke, keeps hands out and loose. Line drive swing with solid feel. Very good student.
