John Valley is a 2012 MIF with a 6-1 160 lb. frame from Essex Junction, VT who attends Essex. Lean, athletic build with room to fill. Middle infielder with aggressive fielding actions and active hands. Long release with long arm action in the back. Arm is playable. Skills profile at 2B or SS. Crouched, even approach at the plate with aggressiveness. Front-foot hitter who looks to drive the ball to the pull side of the field. Gets to ball and showed some pop in bat. Will benefit from better balance with lower half and more of an all fields approach. Good student.
