Stefan Singh is a 2009 left handed pitcher/outfielder from Miami, FL with a young slender build at 5-7, 140 lbs. He pitches from a 3/4 slot with a short compact arm action. He has smooth effortless actions and the ball comes out of his hand well. His fastball tops at 72 mph with movement. His curveball is a good developing pitch at 64 mph with a 2-8 break. He shows good arm strength at 77 mph from the outfield with carry. He hits with an open to closed approach with quick hands. He has a leadoff type, contact approach with good bat speed. He makes good contact and he uses the whole field. He is a very solid young player that will add strength as he matures. He is a definite prospect to follow. Stefan is a very good student.

Singh is a very young 8th grade left handed pitcher from Miami and quite possibly the youngest player at the showcase. He threw 2 innings, striking out 5 hitters without allowing a run. Singh has a quick, fluid, compact arm stroke and the ball comes out of his hand easily. He threw his fastball in the 68-70 mph range with some nice 2 seem running action and threw 2 types of breaking ball, a 56 mph curve and a 62 mph slider that both had some bite to it. Singh had a nice approach to pitching and wasn't intimidated against the older players. For a 130 lb 14 year old, Singh also swung the bat very well and should be followed as a position player as well. He has loose, athletic actions and some deceptive strength and obviously has lots of time to grow and mature. We look forward to seeing plenty of him in the future.
