Anthony Obeid is a 2014 LHP with a 5-9 170 lb. frame from Sugar Land, TX who attends Fort Bend Christian Academy. Medium to smaller build. Low hand delivery, side step start, fast paced, loose arm action, 3/4's release slot, leaves back side over rubber and drags rear leg, costing him velocity and extension out front. Steady 75-77 mph fastball, mostly straight but spots fastball well to both sides. Circle change up has some fade but can be thrown harder, soft spinning curveball stays down in zone well. Immediate improvement in velocity and curveball with better lower half/back half usage. Good student.
