Ryan Manz is a 2014 LHP/OF with a 6-2 165 lb. frame from Sugar Land, TX who attends Clements HS. Athletic, slender frame with a lot of room to get stronger with maturity. Ran a 7.56 60 yard. Left-handed pitcher, throws from a high 3/4 arm slot, slow repeatable delivery, mild crossfire arm action. Up to 80 mph with his fastball, should have more velocity on the way, creates a good downward angle to pitch from. 11-5 curveball needs to be tightened up, locates it pretty well, uses his changeup sparingly, relies presently on very good fastball command. Also hits, left-handed swing, hits from an open stance, sound swing mechanics, projects well as he matures, stays short and compact, good balance and consistent line drive contact. Good fielding actions, consistent throws, good arm action. Very good student.

Slow paced balanced windup, loose arm action, low 3/4's arm slot, limited lower half use. Mid 70's fastball, topped at 75 mph, good arm side running action, sort soft curveball, repeats delivery and throws strikes. Loose athletic actions in the outfield, very solid fundamentals, shows better arm strength in outfield. Left handed hitter, makes consistent contact with short simple swing, soft line drives to all fields. Developing strength will be the key, has good overall skills. Good student.
