Broderick Gaither is a 2014 OF/LHP with a 5-11 155 lb. frame from Kershaw, SC who attends North Central HS. Lean, wiry frame with lots of room to fill out. Quick fielding actions in the OF with good hands and loose arm action. Throws were accurate with some carry. Switch hitter at the plate. Left side, crouched, even stance with an aggressive swing. Rotational swing with level swing plane. Right side, mostly same swing mechanics. Long swing with extension, minimal stride and movement from lower half. Projects for more at the plate with more strength. Pitches from low 3/4 slot. Works quickly and keeps the ball down. Strike thrower. Fastball showed arm side run, curveball had 11/5 break. Very good student.
