John Hisel is a 2014 RHP/ with a 6-5 160 lb. frame from Lexington, KY who attends Tates Creek. Very tall frame, long limbs, room to fill, very projectable. High 3/4 arm slot, sharp downhill plane, good leverage, quick projectable arm. Stays around the strike zone well in spite of occasional balance issues, still growing into 6' 5" frame so coordination isn't there yet but natural athleticism makes up for it. 11-5 curveball showed good depth, flashed hard break on occasion, pitch shows good potential. Changeup is raw, lacks present feel but has good movement and deception. Not far off from being a high level pitching prospect, very advanced for age. Also showed good hitting tools, some power potential, quick bat, loose hands. Threw 88 from outfield, potential two-way guy but exciting RHP prospect. Interesting young player to follow.
