Brandon Mahovlich is a 2012 RHP/OF with a 6-2 210 lb. frame from Issaquah, WA who attends Issaquah. Lean athletic build, strong lower half. High 3/4 arm slot, loose arm action, smooth balanced delivery. Can get out of rhythm and rush with lower half at times but generally good timing. Live arm, minimum effort delivery, fastball consistently 85-88 with late life. Attacks hitters, works fast, works both sides of plate, has an idea on the mound. Curveball showed good depth with sharp 12-6 break with good potential. Good straight change, maintains arm speed well, very solid #3 offering. Interesting pitching prospect who is likely to get some draft looks this spring. Verbal to Gonzaga.
