Colton Dennis is a 2013 RHP/1B with a 6-2 200 lb. frame from Port Byron, NY who attends Port Byron HS. Strong physical build, fairly mature physically. Slow paced delivery with a pause at the top, hard front side and tall at release, 3/4's to high 3/4's arm slot, will fall off on release, good downhill angle at times. Mid-80's fastball, topped out at 86 mph, have seen up to 88 mph this fall, tends to miss up in zone with fastball due to mechanics, has nice run and sink when down in the zone. Low 70's curveball, good spin and bite, has confidence in curveball and throws for strikes. Tools to improve with a softer front side that enables him to work downhill better with his fastball. Left handed hitter, uppercut swing plane, swings hard, will flash occasional raw power. Good student, signed with Siena.
