2004 Midwest Top Prospect Showcase
Sean Wilson is a 2005 catcher from Woodbury, Minnesota, with a 5'9", 175 lb. frame. Wilson runs very well for a catcher and posted solid pop times from 1.92-1.98 with a very strong 79 mph arm. He was also very accurate with a quick release. At the plate he is a contact hitter that gets a little long at times. He did show some power potential in his compact swing. Wilson had a solid understanding of the strike zone and showed some good patience at the plate. Wilson is a strong catch and throw guy for the next level. Sean can play and he's a good student.
