R. Austin Fox is a 2014 MIF/RHP with a 5-8 162 lb. frame from Concord, NC who attends Cox Mill HS. Fox has a medium sized frame with a compact build. He runs well as he ran a 6.86 in the sixty yard dash. Fox showed solid defensive actions on the infield with solid footwork. He has soft hands and can throw from all arm angles. He has developing arm strength and profiles best at 2B presently. At the plate, Fox starts with a slightly open stance and has a rotational swing. He has some bat speed and uses a lift and pull approach. Fox gets some extension and maintains balance through his swing. He pitches from a 3/4 arm slot with a short arm action with some arm speed. He throws a 12/6 curveball with tight spin and some bite to it. Named to Top Prospect Team.
