Robert Russell is a 2012 C/RHP with a 6-1 185 lb. frame from Baytown, TX who attends Ross S. Sterling HS. Long lean build, good strength potential. Didn't run 60 due to sore hamstring. Spread feet receiving, on line accurate throws, can improve release, tends to sweep glove at the ball, 1.99 best pop tiime. Right handed hitter, very spread stance, no weight shift, high hands, spray line drive hitter, needs to hit taller and develop some hitting rhythm, approach limits ability to use his strength.
