Marcus Chan is a 2015 OF/MIF with a 6-0 175 lb. frame from Charlotte, NC who attends Myers Park. Medium, highly athletic build with room to fill out further. Shows athletic, quick defensive actions in the outfield. Has an above average arm with carry. Bats from both sides of the plate, works from a crouched, open setup and carries his hands high. Equally advanced from both sides. Has good bat speed and the swing path is very fluid. Hits the ball with authority and stays compact to the ball. Also took the mound, reaches 81 mph with his fastball from an over the top arm slot. Repeats his delivery well and also mixes a changeup and curveball. Secondaries need further development, but has a lively, clean arm. Excellent student.
