Jason Staub is a 2014 RHP/OF with a 5-10 150 lb. frame from Portland, CT who attends Portland. Lean, athletic frame with lots of room to fill out and add strength. Loose arm, throws from high 3/4 slot, with long arm circle in the back. Stays smooth and balanced in delivery with easy, repeatable mechanics, Good extension out front. Shows both a changeup and an 11/5 curveball with solid shape. As an outfielder, solid feet, hands work. Online throws with some carry. Right handed hitter, simple mechanics, short stroke with line drive plane. Good balance with middle of the field to oppo approach. Smooth stroke. Very good student.
