Sam Miller is a 2014 RHP/OF with a 6-4 184 lb. frame from Valrico, FL who attends Bloomingdale HS. Tall gangly build, big feet, lots of room to fill out and get stronger. Slow paced delivery, severe backside collapse, compact arm action, effort on release. Fastball topped out at 70 mph, soft curveball with occasional 11/5 depth. Needs major delivery adjustments to use arm strength shown in outfield. Threw 84 mph at 16U BCS finals, something evidently wrong this outing. 7.22 runner, some arm strength/carry with good accuracy, athletic projectable actions. Right handed hitter, same backside collapse to start swing, rotational swing, opposite field contact. Excellent student.
