James Killian is a 2012 1B/RHP with a 6-1 245 lb. frame from Simpsonville, SC who attends J.L. Mann HS. Open rotational stance at the plate, deep hand load, swings hard, front side opens early, looking to pull and lift, good extension out front, flashes power on contact, will improve with shorter more directional swing. Also pitched, throws from the stretch, balanced on line delivery, high 3/4's release point. Fastball to 79 mph, mostly straight. Soft curveball spin, maintains arm speed on change up. Very good student.
