Hunter Martin is a 2013 RHP with a 6-1 185 lb. frame from Murfreesboro, TN who attends Blackman HS. Medium athletic build, has some present strength with room for more. Simple on line delivery, compact arm action, hides the ball well, over the top arm slot, fast arm. Fastball topped out at 92 mph, gets on hitters quickly, gets good sink down in the zone, bad swings against fastball. Curveball showed big 12/6 downer break at times, good biting action, separate slider at 80 mph with good late biting action as well, both are quality pitches. Mixed it up well and threw strikes with all pitches, dominant performance with both stuff and the ability to use it. Has taken big steps forward since this summer, slider is a new pitch for him. Good student, signed with Tennessee.
