Hits from an open stance, low hand set, good approach, short to the ball, quick hands, good rotation. Line drive swing, solid strength at contact, balanced, solid bat speed, aggressive approach. Strong arm behind the plate, online catch and throw mechanics, throws carry, medium arm action, can get rid of it quicker to improve pop times, has tools for even better than the 2.06 he posted in the workout. Pitches from three quarter arm slot, fastball has arm side run, big two plane breaking ball. Excellent student.

Addison Wood is a 2014 C/RHP with a 6-0 165 lb. frame from Tazewell, VA who attends Tazewell HS. Medium build with long limbs and lots of room to fill out and add strength. Good balance when receiving, weight stays back well. Quick transfer and release. Gains ground with feet. Arm action is solid, throws are online. Upright stance at the plate, inside out swing with contact to the opposite field. Medium swing length with slightly uphill swing path. Also pitches 3/4 arm slot, mostly online, slightly across body from a full windup, long arm action. Fastball comes out clean and has some sink. Big 12/6 curveball is off speed pitch. Excellent student.
