Drew Standifer is a 2012 1B/OF, RHP with a 6-1 192 lb. frame from Independence, MO who attends Fort Osage HS. Solid athletic build, good present strength. Leg lift load, hand hitch start, tends to pull off the ball, short swing, generates some bat speed, mostly opposite field contact, has raw hitting tools but needs mechanical swing adjustments. 7.43 runner, soft hands at first base. Also pitched, leg raise delivery, short stride and tall release, over the top slot, tends to get inside the ball at release, pitches to arm side. Fastball topped at 81 mph, primary fastball pticher, curveball has short slider like break, occasional downer action. Good student.
