Bruce Steel is a 2014 SS/OF/RHP with a 6-1 165 lb. frame from Jupiter, FL who attends Cardinal Newman HS. Steel has a medium sized frame with a thin lean build. Defensively, he has good footwork to the ball with quick feet. He has solid defensive actions with good balance and body control. Steel has some arm strength and the ball comes out of his hand well. At the plate, Steel starts with an upright stance with a high back elbow. He has good balance through his swing and has a good swing path. Steel generates bat speed and has an aggressive swing. He has some juice and the ball jumps some. Good hitting tools to improve. He pitches from a 3/4 arm slot with a medium length arm action. He gets some down plane on his fastball and has an upright finish. There's more velocity in there with a few adjustments. Excellent student, named to Top Prospect Team.

Short, choppy feet on infield, hands field cleanly, long arm action, long release. Takes good angles and showed defensive ability. Square stance, high hand set at the plate. Has ability to handle bat with solid contact to all fields and a line drive swing. Ball comes off well with more power to come as body fills out. Very good student.
