Pete McCoy is a 2013 RHP/1B, 3B with a 6-4 206 lb. frame from Des Moines, IA who attends Roosevelt HS. Large projectable lean frame room to fill out. Throws from a high 3/4 arm slot on the mound, short arm action, short in the back, fastball has good sink and arm side run on it, fastball also cuts on the glove side, pitches to contact. Has a short arm action in the field, feet move to ball, fields the ball deep. Starts out crouched at the plate, he has a direct swing plane, good plate coverage, short level swing. Has a projectable build with more to come from his arm.

Pete McCoy is a 2013 RHP/1B with a 6-3 200 lb. frame from Des Moines, IA who attends Roosevelt HS. Tall, lean athletic build, room to get stronger. Multi-piece leg raise delivery, stays over rubber well but opens very early, limited lower half use, high arm circle with high 3/4's release point. Fastball to 75 mph, very good sink and run arm side, will also cut fastball on glove side. Flashes curveball spin with bite and depth, not consistent with curveball mechanics. Rare change up. Right handed hitter, similar hitting mechanics to pitching mechanics, high hand set, upper half swing with busy mechanics, makes contact out front. Good student.
