Eric James is a 2012 RHP with a 6-2 195 lb. frame from Leawood, KS who attends Blue Valley North HS. Nice athletic build, good present strength. Balanced delivery, long 3/4's arm action, tends to land cross body on release, arm works well, some downhill angle to the plate. Upper 70's fastball, touched 80 mph, mostly straight. Nice change up with good arm speed and nice sink, effective pitch. Short breaking curveball with 11/5 shape. Threw strikes and competed well. Good student.

Full delivery and arm circle, repeats delivery well, some effort on release, mid to 3/4's arm slot. Fastball to 83 mph, fairly straight. Slider best pitch, good spin and sharpness, tends to get under softer curveball, good arm speed on change up, could use change up more. Crisper raw stuff and less effort warming up than against hitters. Good student.
