Matt Ybarra is a 2013 LHP/OF with a 5-10 160 lb. frame from Riverside, CA who attends Riverside Poly. Lean, athletic build with room to fill. Solid arm action from a low 3/4 slot. Should gain velocity as body matures. Raw, struggled with control during 3 innings. Curveball had good depth, sweeping break. Showed looseness and arm strength from outfield, body moves freely and easily. Solid approach and good swing actions at plate. Has bat speed and makes lots of contact. Will improve with additional strength. Interesting 2-way prospect.
