Loose actions defensively, strong arm with good accuracy, threw well in games, athletic receiving but block skills still unrefined, 2.01 best pop time. Right handed hitter, loose swing with nice developing bat speed, uses hands well in swing, ball jumps well, game 2B up the LCF gap, not overmatched at all despite age, 7.13 runner. Has all the tools and athleticism to keep improving, follow very closely. Good student.

David Banuelos is a 2014 C/3B with a 5-10 165 lb. frame from Ontario, CA who attends Damien. Banuelos showed potential both at the plate and behind it. With solid defensive skills, he posted a few pop times in the low 2.00's and showed polished receiving skills for a 2014 grad. At the plate David's ability to pull inside pitches really stood out against live pitching. He showed an aggressive swing with good balance, quick bat acceleration and developing strength at contact. As he continues to mature physically his gap power projects for a lot of extra base hits. Young player with a lot of upside. Interesting follow. Named to Top Prospect Team.
