Aki Yamamoto is a 2012 RHP/ with a 5-11 168 lb. frame from Torrance, CA who attends South Torrance. A thin athletic RHP, Yamamoto uses a deceptive delivery to keep hitters off balance. Uses a deliberate motion exclusively from the stretch that allows him to hide the ball and a high 3/4 arm slot that allows him to create a good downhill angle. His 12-6 Curveball showed good depth and the deception of his delivery makes it difficult for the hitter to pick up. Mixed pitches well and has an idea of how to set up hitters and hold runners close. Showed good composure on the mound at all times and competed well. Also showed interesting hitting tools.
