Spencer Brown is a 2011 RHP/SS with a 6-0 140 lb. frame from Ponte Vedra, FL who attends Allen D Nease HS. Slender build, developing strength. Laredo/down under pitching style, low thigh release point 90% of the time, starts hunched over from the stretch, compact arm with little whip, mid 70's fastball with big sinking action when low in zone, gets good depth and spin on curveball, some 2 plane break, rare change up is too firm. Will come standard 3/4's at times, disguises it well, 77-78 mph fastball, still spins the CB well from higher release. Good command, around the plate with all pitches, developing a change will be key to his deceptive style. Good student
