Nikolas Alfonso is a 2011 MIF with a 5-10 165 lb. frame from Oldsmar, FL who attends Tampa Catholic HS. Typical middle infielder's build, some wiry present strength. Very smooth infield actions, smooth and quick to the ball, soft hands, throws have good carry, easy release, will have to work on overall speed to avoid move to third base in the future. Straight stance hitting, good balance, hands back, quick to the ball, moves through contact well, solid barrel, consistent hard line drive contact, can drive the ball the other way, polished hitter. Good player, running speed only concern. Very good student.
