At the plate showed good hand speed, line drive plane, throws hands well, good timing, athletic swing. Needs to get more lower half to drive ball harder, contact approach at present, bat projects. Quick defensive actions, high energy fielder, projectable arm. Showed good improvement over the past year.

Marcus Carson is a 2013 OF/LHP with a 5-7 145 lb. frame from London, KY who attends North Laurel. Projects well at the plate, swing is a bit raw at present but hitting tools are quite obvious. Showed loose strength in his swing and in his delivery on the mound, arm looked good in the outfield. Solid athlete, future likely as Outfielder but raw arm strength suggests he could develop into a pitching prospect.
