Connor Jones is a 2013 RHP/OF with a 6-3 185 lb. frame from Chesapeake, VA who attends Great Bridge HS. Lean and loose projectable build. Hunched over, fast paced unorthodox delivery, gets turned/unturned very quickly, strong quick twitch core, 3/4's release point, fast arm, repeats complex delivery well. Low 90's fastball, topped out at 93 mph, hard fastball running action, will turn over fastball in the upper 80's. Hard spinning upper 70's fastball, shorter break, good bite. tends to slow arm on change but good and deception. Very good raw stuff and can make the ball move, has improved 4-5 mph of velocity in last year. Very interesting prospect. Verbal commitment to Virginia.
