Scott VanSteelant is a 2012 RHP/1B with a 6-5 200 lb. frame from Purcellville, VA who attends Woodgrove. Tall athletic build, great pitcher's body. OH arm slot, easy arm actions, good downhill plane on all pitches, clean delivery, locates on the outside corner well, feel for 12-6 curveball, occasional cutting action on fastball, velocity projects. Good offensive tools to work with, gets extension in swing, ball comes off the bat well, will improve with adjustments in approach. Athletic actions at first base, good around the bag.
