Ben Ihde is a 6-3, 195 lb senior first baseman from Wisconsin who is a good athlete for his size. His body projects big time and he could get really strong over the next few years. He's a 7.36 runner who is smooth around the bag defensively and gets to a lot of balls. Ihde had an outstanding showcase with the bat. He showed college level bat speed and power consistently over two days. Ihde has a very nice swing plane for a power hitter and isn't afraid to take balls hard up the middle or to the opposite field if that's what the pitch dictates. He also showed the juice to drive the ball hard 385' up the RCF alley with wood. He projects as a middle of the order run producer at the next level as he adds more strength and gains more experience against top level pitching. Ihde is also a good student. Good prospect.
