Ryan Macchio is a 2014 SS/IF with a 6-2 190 lb. frame from Johns Creek, GA who attends Northview. He has an extra large projectable frame with a solid build and has good athletic actions. Has lateral mobility with an accurate arm with arm strength. He has a short arm action with a quick release and transfer and keeps the ball in front of him. Starts with high hands, an open stance at the plate and a back load. Showed bat speed with a patient approach in the games working the count to his favor, and does a good job of getting his hands in on inside pitches. Is an excellent student and has very good speed on the bases which allows him to disrupt the pitcher.
