Ben Grisz is a 2008 RHP with a 6'2'', 210 lb. frame from Dallas, TX who attends St Mark's School. He has a thick, mature build with broad shoulders and stocky strength. Grisz has been a high level outfield prospect in the past but has made the conversion to the mound successfully. He has a high energy delivery with lots of deception and a very fast arm. Grisz hides the ball well through a high 3/4's release point and his fastball explodes on hitters faster than his 89-92 mph velocity looks like. Grisz's slider had good depth at up to 80 mph and some good downward plane to it and he showed some feel for a change up. He doesn't look like a comfortable at bat for any hitter and he should continue to improve as he gets more pitching repetitions. Grisz is a good overall athlete and showed his raw power with the bat at the showcase. He is a excellent student with exceptionally high test scores.

Ben Grisz is a 2008 OF/P with a 6'1'', 200 lb. frame from Dallas TX, who attends St Mark;s School of Texas. He has a very strong, mature body for his age. Grisz ran the 60 in 7.44 and showed very good arm strength from the outfield at 88 mph. He fielded his position very well during the games and knew what he was doing in the outfield. Grisz uses his plus strength well with the bat. He has some bat waggle in his load, which leaves his bat late sometimes, but once he gets it going he has very good bat speed. Grisz has a power approach with a slightly open stance and a full, aggressive swing with very good extension out front. The ball jumps off his bat with authority and he can hit it a long way. Grisz has the type of raw power that looks like he'll be able to use it in games against good pitching. Grisz also pitched some, showing an 86 mph fastball from a compact, quick arm action, along with a 72 mph curveball. Grisz is a very good prospect overall and has a bright future. He is also an excellent student.
