Lucas Friss is a 2012 RHP with a 6-2 175 lb. frame from Lakewood Ranch, FL who attends The Out-of-Door Academy. Lean athletic build. Compact arm action, loose easy arm, 3/4's arm slot, back leg collapse in delivery costs him leverage and power. Fastball to 82 mph, good arm side run at times. Good feel for change up, change gets nice consistent sink and run. Curveball flashes hard spin with 11/5 shape and good 2-plane depth. Throws all three pitches for strikes, mixes it up and makes the ball move. Can improve with better leverage and strength. Excellent student.
