James Swan is a 2013 RHP/1B with a 6-5 175 lb. frame from Orange, TX who attends Little Cypress-Mauriceville HS. Large very projectable frame for his age, should fill out nicely. Hands over head delivery, deep wrap in back, arm works well out front, 3/4's release point. Primary FB pitcher, throws harder warming up than in games, steady 82 mph warming up, nice running life on FB, CB flashes good hard spin and bite, solid second pitch. Arm strength showed well at 1B, lots more velo in there with normal growth. Free swing with the bat, shows bat speed and power potential, smooth loose easy swing, likes the fastball to hit. Very good student.

Balanced clean delivery, big leg raise to start, arm works well, long extended arm action and release. Present FB to 80 mph, good sinking action low, easy velocity projection, SL flashes some depth, should tighten up with experience. Shows some hitting tools, long smooth swing, squares up well, could develop power in the future. Very good student.
